  1. If you see the clouds moving fast it is a sign we are going to have a storm soon.
    If you see the moon lying on its back it is a sign we are going to have rain.
    If the wind is from the south you can be sure of rain.
    It is said that if you see sheep on the top of a mountain you are going to have fine weather but to see them seeking shelter in the valleys you can be sure of a coming storm. If you see sea-gulls coming inland you can be sure of bad weather. If you see the cat with her back to the fire you can be sure you are in for bad weather. People say you are near bad, weather when you begin to get the pains in the bones. There is a lot of old sayings about the weather. People say that if February brings no rain there'll be neither hay nor grain.
