    Old Ruins
There are very lovely old Ruins about three miles from my house in a place called Cúilneach. It is said that the Franciscan Friars took refuge here when they were hunted from Quin Abbey by Cromwell about 400 years ago .
The remains of a good many little huts are to be seen at the present day and a long building which is supposed to be their Chapel.
