Sowing Potatoes. It is the cusyom among the people not to begin sowing the potatoes any day of the week but Friday as they think it is a lucky day. There lived a woman in Mount Scott and when she was out with any of the neighbour's she would go to their gardens and leave boiled potatoes and eggs in them ,and that year they would not have any fowl or any crops .Any person's land she would walk in ,there would not a blade of grass grow in it.Every May Night the people would have to watch her and lock their cow-house door.
