    Old people say that the seventh son in a family should be made a doctor because he has always a cure.
    Ladder.
    If you go out under a ladder you will never grow.
    Looking glass.
    If you let a lucking glass fall you will have seven years bad luck.
    Your legs.
    If you let a person cross over your legs you will not grow.
    Milk.
    If you get milk in a country house you should put salt in it.
    grave yard.
    If you cross over a grave in a graveyard you should cross it back again.
    Feet water.
    If you wash your feet at night you should throw out the water before twelve o'clock.
    After twelve.
    If you are born after twelve o'clock you will see ghosts when you grow up.
    Four cross-roads.
    When you come to a four cross-roads you should always bless yourself.
    New year's morning.
    When you go out on a new year's morning and a woman is the first to wish you a happy new year you will have bad luck for the day.
    Ear warm.
    If your ear is warm there is a woman talking about you.
