    The Moon: It is the sign of bad weather to see the moon on its back, and also to see it ringed with a yellow circle.
    The Cat: When the cat scrapes the leg of the table it is a sign that we are going to have bad weather.
    It is also the sign of bad weather to see the cat by the fire.
    The stars: When the stars are in the sky in the night it is a real sign that bad weather is at hand.
    The sky: The sky gets red about every ten years and when it gets red it is a sure sign of a storm.
    A mackerel sky is the sign of bad weather.
    A blue blaze: When there is a blue blaze in the fire it means that the weather is getting worse.
    The dust: When the dust is flying before the wind it is the sign of good weather.
    The mountains: It is the sign of bad weather to see the mountains clearly and think they were near.
    The rainbow: It is the sign of bad weather to see a rainbow. It tells us that God has promised us He would never send another deluge.
