  1. In years gone by a native of Shronnell was passing through Barronstown about two miles west of Tipperary. Suddenly he saw a terrible outbreak of fire in the vicinity.
    With the fright of it, he fell to the ground and was brought to Tipperary Hospital immediately and there he told his story.
    When the man who owned the land heard it sent men to dig up the moat where the fire was seen and as they were digging they found guns,bits of swords and horses winkers.
