  1. The Borders of Sweet Ballylooby.
One day in my rambles quite eager to travel
While Phoebus most bright was adorning
I wandered quite still o'er a wild beaten hill
By the cool of a sweet pleasant morning
When I came to the top, I made a full stop
for the vale was bespangled with beauty.
When in comfort displayed in a most pleasant shade
    I espied the far-famed Ballylooby.

To adorn the rest it is amply possessed
Of a proud and humane population
Who are civil and free to the utmost degree
    And replete with profound education
Their aspects are rare both pleasing and fair
Their cheeks I'd compare to a ruby
They are very well known wherever they roam
From the Borders of Sweet Ballylooby.
