  1. In my local school district Carrick on Shannon were two fairy forts. They are circular in shape with trees around them.
    The people say that long ago when the Danes were in Ireland they would come around to rob the people of their goods and if the people around heard before hand that they were coming, they would go to these forts and wave torches and warn the people and everyone would go there for safety. People have heard music and seen lights in them.
