  1. Local Cures.
To stop bleeding the following prayer is said
At the fall of Adam sin was taken,
At the death of Jesus Christ sin was shaken
And by those words we beseech the Lord
This blood to flow no more at large.
To Cure Anthony's Fire - the blood of a person named Cahill if rubbed on it would heal it.
To cure warts (1) To rub water which has lodged in a hollow in a stone to them.
    (2) To rub a snail to the warts and then stick the snail on a whitethorn and according as the snail is decaying so also will the wart
To cure mumps. To apply gladum leaves to them.
To cure "thrush" in infants - to put them three times in at one side and out at the other side under an ass.
