  1. There is a lake in the Galtee mountains called Muscree, and there is a tradition in the Glen of Aherlow that the last snake St. Patrick banished from Ireland is in this lake. The saint had considerable trouble in putting away this snake. In order to get him into the lake he promised to let him out on Easter Monday. So every Easter Sunday night at midnight the snake puts up his head and says "A Pádraig cá lá an luair i bpad ag teach"
