  1. In former times people were up to twenty years when they started to wear boots. There are no accounts of people who never wore boots.
    Nearly all children go barefoot now in Summer. We wash our feet every night before we go to bed and we throw out the water after washing our feet with it. In olden times there was only one shoemaker in my townland and there is no one in it now.
