- There was a great storm in the month of February in the year 1903. The storm lasted from about four o'clock in the evening until six next morning. The roofs were taken off a great number of houses. There were one hundred trees knocked in Greenhall and many other places. There were no lives lost in this district.
- There was a great snowstorm in February in the year 1933. When the wind blew it piled the snow into drifts eight to ten feet high. The snow was not cleared off the ground for a month.
