    There are about seven forges in my district which are occupied by the following....

    ploughs and other things. His tools are :- the anvil, the sledge, the hammer, file, rasp and tongs. The bellows are made of wood. it also has a kind of leather bag, when you raise the handle it fills with air and when you let it in the air goes into the fire.
    The fire place is made of a large stone, square in shape. He gets a few red cinders puts them on the stone, then he blows the bellows and it lights up lovely. There is a big stone by the fireside with a hole init. in this the water is kept. As you go in there are old horse - shoes hanging on the walls. Mr.
