    There are about nine forges n my native town. the names of the smiths are Mr. Seedy, Mr. Barron, Mr. Grace, Mr. Bourke, Mr. Cavanagh of Kenyon St. and Mr Cavanagh of Friar St.
    The man who works in a forge is called a blacksmith. Forges are in being since the time of Our Lord and there is an old story told in the District that when Our Lord was about to be crucified the Blacksmiths refused to make nails for
