    There is a townland in my parish called Patrick's Well.

    (continued from previous page)
    was visited that hill where the well is situated.
    The people of that place make an annual visitation to this well in honour of this great Saint. Inside of this well there is a print of St. Patricks hand on the stone. St Patrick was walking on the soil around the well, when his foot sunk and there is still to be seen a hole in the ground, it is always wet.
    There is a little wicket gate leading into it. This well never goes dry and in very warm Summers people draw water from it for miles around.
