  1. Years ago there was an old woman called Mrs. Dancer who lived in a small cottage near Dancer's Hill.
Cromwell and his army were passing. The old woman was so delighted at seeing them she went out and danced on the hill. Cromwell was so pleased at seeing her dance, he gave her husband all the land that is now known as Hilton and Fortwilliam. To this day the hill is called Dancer's Hill.
