  1. A Crock of Gold
About fifty years ago a man by the name of James Buckley, was ploughing in a field for the late Mr Joe Reid (Cooraclevin, Dunkerrin.) The plough slipped on something like iron. He stopped and examined it, and found a grid-iron covering a crock of gold.
Mr Reid was in the same fiels cutting a hedge. James Buckley did not want to divide the gold with Mr Reid, so he covered it up again and left it there for a time, so as to have it all for himself. When he returned he found a crock of leaves instead of a crock of gold.
