    There is a fort a short distance from out house and there is a well sunk in the middle of it.

    There is a fort a short distance from out house and there is a well sunk in the middle of it.
    One evening as my grandmother was going to the well for a bucket of water, she saw a man and three children standing in the fort. She saluted them but they made no answer. They ran off the fields and she could hear them singing in the next fort.
