1. Soot or smoke falling down the chimney.
2. The wind whistling through the keyhole.
3. the dust whirling around the road.
4. Dampness on the kitchen floor.
5. the salt damp.
6. the hills or mountains looking near.
7. A halo around the moon.
8. A pale setting sun.
9. Pains in joints of the body and painful corns.
The north wind is the sign of dry weather. The south west wind brings most rain to this district.
It is a sign of bad weather when:
The cat sits with her back to the fireplace.
2. When the swallows fly low.
3. When the goat returns early from the fields.
5. When there are midges in the air.
