    place would please her except in the moat. When her husband heard where she was thinking of building it he told her what the fairies said, but she did not heed him.
    When the palace was built and furnished and ready to live in, she invited all her friends to see their new home.
    When her family and guests were leaving their old home to go to the palace they got news that the palace had disappeared and when she went to get the gold that was left the crock was full of withered leaves.
    The fairies punished them for not keeping their promise and they were poorer than ever before.
