  1. I. Grinding
    There was grinding done in Ballyengland, Askeaton, Co Limerick, long ago. The mill was at the back of Ensights house of Ballyengland. The mill-wheel was driven by the power of the stream which flowed at the back of the mill. The grinding was done by the flat stones hitting against each other.
    II. Lime-making.
    There was lime made in a kiln on top of a hill near a bog in Ballyhoman north, long ago. The lime was made from stone's and colum. The old lime kiln is in ruins now but
