  1. One day a man saw a mermaid in Killarney. She was sitting on a rock combing her hair. The man asked would she marry him. She said she would. He hid her cloak. She could not go away from him until she got her cloak. One day she got it. She had two sons. She told them she was going to the well for water. She went to the lake nearby and put her cloak on her and disappeared into the water. She was never seen again.
