  1. A mermaid was seen in Foynes and a man saw her she told him come three mornings and the third morning she came ashore. He took the cap off her and she went home with him and married him. They had three children, one day he was on a journey she found the cap and call. She went to the shore and she put on the cap and call she went out on the water and was not seen anymore.
