- Story - The Village parson. 22.6.38There once lived a rich widow in a village in Co. Clare. She had two sons, one a clever fellow and the other a fool. There also lived in the same village a parson, who was a widower and he was paying particular attention to the rich widow. He used come to her house every evening and her sons meals were beginning to be neglected. The clever son planned to kill the parson. This he did one evening when his mother was out and he got his brother, the fool to make a hole in the haggard and bury him.The parson also had a son.
