Now you must be active and quick and good minded, and you must watch your man, and if he carries the ball in you do not get wicked or rough, if you do you will be disqualified.
Hurling is a fine ancient game and it was played in the time of Cuchulainn and the Fianna.
When you are kicking football or hurling or another game, your mind is set in the match, and you will not be thinking of any bad thoughts or bad deeds.
Thousands of people used to go to see the match. There were no bicycles no motors, the people used to have to walk twenty miles to see the match.
The hurling is better carried out now than before, because they had no hurleys, only(continues on next page)
