    going to Kantoher with pigs, he asked him did he see any horses on the road. He said he met three horses on the road towards Rathkeale. He started to run and he kept up to them near Rathkeale he was only a half an hour going to [?] ale from Glenquin cross. B. J. Halliman, Ballagh, [?] John Noonan do. About sixty years ago there lived a man in Tournagreana by the name of Patrick Mulcahy. He was a very strong man. It was a costumary thing in those days to make butter in the peoples houses. They had two ferkins of butter for a sale and they had no horse to carry it. One morning Paddy Mulcahy said he would carry it. He put a ferking up on-each shoulder and started on his journey for Drumcollogher. There was a fair in. Drum the same day and he reached the town about nine oclock. When he had the butter sold he walked down around the town to see what kind was the fair. In the evening when he was about to come home there was a man standing at the corner with a flock of sheep. the man called him over to him. He told him that one of the sheep was
