    When the smoke comes down the chimney, it is a sign of rain.
    When it would be going to snow, the cat would have his back turned to the fire.
    If it begins to rain at twelve o'clock in the day, it will be raining all day.
    If sparks were flying from the fire it's a sign of bad weather.
    If the crows are seen perching on the sides of wynds of hay, or perching in meadows, it is a sign of rain, or if they're flying low coming home to their nests, it is a sign of rain.
