    1. No one should pluck or gather flowers on May eve.
    2. Many people in this district believe that some misfortune is sure to happen to a neighbour in whose hay or turf an enemy hides eggs. Common.
    2. Putting a plucked hen in another man's land brings him bad luck.
    4. Burying meat or e.g. a dead pig in another person's land is supposed to bring bad luck to the owner of the land.
    5. Seven years bad luck follows the breaking of a mirror.
    6. You should never burn a "deck" of cards. The best and safest way to get rid of them is to "let them off with the flood".
    7. It is very unlucky to have a pack of playing cards in one's pocket at Mass.
    8. If you fall in a graveyard, you are sure to die after.
    9. If you give away milk to any person on May eve there will be no butter fat in the milk of any of your cows for one year.
    10. Cures for warts:-
    (a). Water found in the "hollow" of a stone.
    (b). Rub a maggot to the wart. Now hang the maggot on a tree by means of a pin or large thorn. As the maggot
