- On "All Hallow Eve" the Irish people never forget their age old customs. It is a night of enjoyment for both young and old.
After sundown they begin the sport, and they spend a great night of enjoyment. A big tub of water is placed in the middle of the kitchen floor, and an apple is dropped into it.
Every number who partakes in this old custom is handcuffed. He has to put his mouth into the tub, and catch the apple. The person that catches the apple first is allowed to eat it.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
