  1. Threading berries.
    Get a long thread and needle and numbers of berries, as holly berries, then put one after another on the thread untill completed. These will also make a belt.
    Whips.
    A whip is made out of rushes by plaiting three rushes together.
    Whistle.
    Boys make whistles from twigs an Elder is suitable. Cut a stick about three inches long. At one end cut a little wedge off, then remove the skin, now cut a little piece out of the stick as shown.
    Then replace the skin and the whistle is complete.
