    Bite of a dog : Apply a mixture of soap and sugar.
    Bleeding from nose : Lie on back for awhile.
    Ear-ache : Put a piece of wadding into ear.
    Nettle's sting : Put a dock-leaf to it.
    Flea in ear : Pour oil into ear.
    Warts : Stick a snail on whitethorn and leave it there until it dies.
    Burns : Apply machine oil.
    Head-ache : Take boiled water and sugar.
    Measles: Take ferret's milk.
    Pain in back : Apply flannel to back.
    To remove tar from hands or face : Rub on butter or paraffin oil.
    Chilblains : Rub oil to them.
