    Sore eyes : Apply cold tea
    Headache : Get strong brown paper, the width of forehead; soak it in vinegar, lay on and repeat a few times.
    Nettle's sting : Rub soap to part.
    Bleeding from nose : Lay a cold wet cloth on nose and keep your head back.
    Sore throat : Put the night woollen stocking round it when going to bed.
    Colds : Take hot milk.
    Rheumatism : burn part with nettles.
    Tooth-ache : Apply pepper and salt to tooth.
    Inward pain: Warm a plate to the fire and put it up to the part.
    Wounds and cuts : Put mixture of soap and sugar to the parts.
