    The Mill-stream is in the west also and the Rive Bride in the north. Kilcor is surrounded by hills. A song was composed by a poet in former days, and is as follows:-
    "Kilcor by the Bride."

    It was on a Sunday evening,
    So carelessly I strayed.
    It being on the very month of May,
    And the birds sang in the shade,
    And fully decked with pride,
    And primroses and daises,
    At Kilcor by the Bride.
    II
    Now gaily as I walked along,
    Two lovers there I spied,
    It being on a primrose bank they sat
    Conversing side by side,
    He twined his arms around her, and whispered tenderly
    Saying " 'tis in America I will be,
    A stóir grád geal mo chroidhe."

    When I will go to America,
    Strange faces I will see,
    I will have lovers plenty
    And will never think of thee
