believe that the meaning of the word is the Cúil of the Calves. Cnoc-An-Áird means the Hill of Destruction. There was a battle fought on the hill long ago and that is the reason why it is called Cnoc-an-Áird. Baile-Na-hAimsire means the place of the servents. These are the names of fields. Paircín na Leasa means the field of the Lios, the Pound Field Páirc an Locha.
