    Now the Kers Pink is the nicest in flavour and it is a new seed but the Champion is very old.
    In drills the potatoes are grown. The medium size potatoes are first chosen and old people, especially woman, help in the 'cutting' of them. They cut a scoileán with an 'eye' in it. It is from this 'eye' that the future plant grows. After a few day when the skin has toughened the potatoes are sat. The 'setting' of the potatoes is more or less the childre'n job as the back is always bent and old people cannot 'stick' that at all.
