  1. People say that if a person gives away a thing on a Monday he will be giving away things all the week, and if he gets anything on a Monday he will be getting things all the week.
    Girls do not like to take up situations on a Monday, because they say that it is unlucky. It is also said that it is unlucky to travel, go on holidays or start business on a Monday.
    Dress-makers and tailors do not make clothes on a Monday, or barbers do not [cut?] hair on a Monday. Some people consider it unlucky to cut their nails on a Friday or Sunday.
    People say that one should not go into a new house on a Friday or Monday. Some people do not allow their children go to school on a Monday.
