    the centre of which is a deep opening. It is surrounded by furze bushes.
    These forts are never interfered with, because ill-luck is said to follow those who meddle with them in any way. A certain man who had a fort in his land wanted to make the ground level so he removed all the earth from the fort. On returning next morning he found, to his surprise, that all the earth was up on the fort again just as if it had never been removed.
