    During the Penal Days five pounds was offered for a priest's head.
    A priest who lived in Kilcolman had to go on a sick call one night. No one was supposed to be out after night-fall.
    At midnight when the priest was coming home riding on a white horse he heard the horse-soldiers coming on. He moved aside to let them pass. There was an officer in front of them and another behind them.
    They all passed on except the officer behind them; and when he had passed the priest about ten
