    months the horses were always grazing in it. This field was then called "páirc na gcapall".
    In former years one field was let to a tailor for tillage. He possessed it for many years and paid for it annually. It was owing to this that the field got its name "Páirc a'túir" which means "the mock field" derives its name from the fact that during the Summer nights the cows were enclosed there. Long ago the late Mr, Michael O'Keefe R.I.P. owned a house and field in the farm. His family worked in this field, and then it was known as the "clanntín" which means little family.
