  1. This is a prayer which is said three times when going to bed at night.

    When I go to bed I hope to sleep.
    To God I pray my soul to keep
    If i die before I wake
    To God I pray my soul to take
    There are four corners in my bed
    And four Angels at my head
    One to guard me one to guide me
    Two to carry my soul safe to Heaven
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
    And God bless the bed that I lie on.
    It was on good Friday the Jews came
    They had a spear both sharp and thin
