    The smith uses a sledge, an anvil, a hammer, a pincers, a vice, a knife, a chisel and a rasp.
    The smith sometimes makes farm implements. Wheels are always banded in the open air. It is said that in olden times the smith always got a gift of a cows head at Christmas.
    They are always looked upon as being very strong men.
    Long ago the forge was considered the centre of all the news.
