    St. Brigid's Day is celebrated in the 1st of February. She is called the "Mary of the Gael". The name of Brigid is still a very common one in Irish families.
    St. Patrick's Day is a holy day of obligation celebrated on March 17th. it is held in honour of St. Patrick who brought the true faith to Ireland.
    Shrove Tuesday is also called "Pancake Night". A lot of people get married on that day.
    Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent.
    Christmas Day is the day on which Our Lord was born in a stable in Bethlehem. There are three Masses said on that
