  2. The local landlord was Miss MacCarthy and she lived in Skibbereen. Her father was called Mr. McCarthy Downey. He was a very kind man but Miss MacCarthy was not so good. Evictions were carried out and tithes were collected.
    Bruce Levis was the landlord over Gortromagh, Drimoleague and he lived at Smorane, Skibbereen.
