  1. The road through Coorydorigan from the Skibbereen Road to the Bantry Road is known as ''Garb Botar'', which means 'The Rough Road.
    Another road crosses the Coorydorrigan Road and leads to a field with a big white stone in the centre of it known as ''The White Stone.'' This road is called the ''Cnoc Ruad Botairin''
    A road leading from the Bantry Road to Skeagh is called ''Botairin a Cloc.'' It is so called because there were a great many large flag stones on the road.
    There is an old road in the Woodlands called ''The Old Road.'' It is so called because it was used before the present road was made.
    A road which leads to Derryconnell is called ''Botairin Ban'' which means the ''White Road''
    A road which leads to Dreenatra is called ''The Wood Road'' because it passes a wood.
    The ''Workhouse Road'' leads to the townland of Rathcoole. It is
