  1. A man lived in Ballydehob once who was very fond of fowling, and who always kept a gun, and a hound.
Once while he was fowling he met the landlord of Baile Bán; this landlord was a fowler himself. There used be people with the Ballydehob. When the landlord saw the gun and hound, and because he had his gun too, he was cross and said "Who owns that dog?". "I own her" said the fowler. "I will shoot her" said the landlord. "If you do I will shoot you" said the fowler aiming his gun at the landlord. The landlord lowered his gun and went away.
