    twopence for a cow. The name of the landlord was swanton. When the animals are sold luck is given. Two shilling are paid for a car of pigs, and a half-crown for a cow. When they are making the bargain the buyer strikes the hand of the seller. They do not spit in their hands. The animals are marked in several ways.
