    The area of this wood was about thirty acres, this wood was cut down about forthy years ago. It was planted by a Dr. Hicks, who also built a resedence at Dreenatra where he also planted largely. This Dr. Hicks was landlord of the townland of Dreenatra, perhaps of other places too.
    The resedence and wood and land attached to it now belongs to Mr. O'Keefe of Schull.
    The main road from Ballydehob to Skibbereen was constructed in the year 1828.
    The old main road from Ballydehob to Schull led up through Stobhall Hill. I then went along the
