Ar an leathanach seo

    same style as The Three Castles but it is built on a rock, whereas the Three Castles are built in a valley.
    It is in a very good state of preservation.
    There is a green patch, somewhat like a very small garden, in the top storey. It is very remarkable how this garden ever got there.
    Most people believe that the wind brought some grass seed, and it grew in the earth of the fallen ruins.
    Of course, in those days all houses were built with earth, and it is not strange that some earth was also used in the building of castles at that time.
    Though those castles were built partly with earth yet none of the tradesmen of to-day can build as sound a building even with modern invention.
    This castle is reckoned to be quite as important and as nice, by the people of Dunmanus as are the Three Castles.
    The people of the district take great care of Dunmanus Castle and that is partly the reason of its being in such a good state of preservation at present.
