- (continued from previous page)place. There are two kinds of houses thatched and slated. There are four people living yet over 70. Their names are: Kathleen Finneran, Thomas Welsh, Thomas Shine, Delia Shine of Curramore. There are two houses gone to ruins.
- There is a holy well in Brideswell, St. Brigid blessed it. People visit it every year, there is a pattern held there the last Sunday in July. They say prayers round the well. It is a custom if the people is cured to leave money. The people drink the water and rub it on sores.
