    of long forms and badly made desks. The floors were generally of clay and it must have been very cold and unhealthy during the Winter months. The fuel was supplied altogether by the pupils each one has to bring two sods of turf every morning and very often the clamps of turf built by the roadside suffered. These schools were generally over crowded because the boys going to school at that time over seventeen years of age. The first teacher in the old Glanduff National School was Mr James Kelly.
